We are proud to announce the completion of Phase 1 of the FGC Okigwe main block renovation. Working with a qualified local contractor and under the supervision of our set's engineering committee, we have delivered:
- Full re-roofing of blocks A and B (replacing the original asbestos sheets with long-span aluminium roofing)
- Repointing and waterproofing of all external walls in the affected blocks
- Interior plastering and two coats of weather-resistant paint across 12 classrooms
- Installation of new windows and burglar-proof frames in all 12 classrooms
This phase was completed on time and ₦350,000 under budget — savings that have been rolled forward into Phase 2. Phase 2 will cover blocks C and D and is scheduled to begin in March 2025.
