When we visited FGC Okigwe in August 2024, we were struck by two things: the unmistakable spirit of the students who walk those corridors today, and the unmistakable decay of the infrastructure that surrounds them.
The school that shaped us — that taught us discipline, resilience, and community — is in urgent need of repair. Roofs that leak. Classrooms that flood. A library that has not seen a new book in years. Labs with equipment from another era.
We cannot ask the government to solve every problem. We can, however, solve some of them ourselves. The FGC Okigwe 2001 Set exists not only to celebrate our shared memories but to take responsibility for the institution that gave us those memories.
Our campaign has two pillars:
1. **Structural Renovation** — Repairing and upgrading the academic blocks, replacing worn roofing, fixing electrical systems, and repainting the entire school compound.
2. **Digital Skills Lab** — Building a fully equipped computer lab from the ground up, because the students of FGC Okigwe deserve to graduate digitally literate and workforce-ready.
We are asking every member of our set to give what they can. We are asking friends, family, and well-wishers to support this cause. And we are committing, publicly, to full transparency in how every naira is spent.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for believing in this.
